Soft Pastel is a hair colour softener and pasteliser which gives you total creative control. It is designed to dilute and soften any semi-permanent shades, turning them into your very own unique, beautiful pastel tone.

It can also be used to help tame warm tones or simply applied on its own to refresh your existing colour by enhancing shine.

How to Use: Mix Soft Pastel with your chosen colour. The more Soft Pastel used, the softer the result. Best used on pre-lightened hair for the most accurate pastel results.

Really disappointed in this product. Despite following instructions and having salon bleached hair, this left no color whatsoever. Do not recommend

Our Lust Colour will last from 3 to 30 days depending on the porosity of the hair prior to application, reflect chosen, wet or dry
application, processing time and how often you wash your hair.

How to Prepare Hair for Semi-Permanent Colour?

Ensure your hair is clean and free of any products prior to applying your colour. We recommend using the Lust Deep Cleanser to help remove any product buildup or mineral deposits creating a clean canvas to work with allowing you to get the best results out of our colour.

Should You Apply Semi-Permanent Hair Colour to Wet or Dry Hair?

You can apply the colours to either.

Applying colour to clean, dry hair will allow for a longer lasting reflect and more intense colour.

Apply to clean towel dried hair for faster fade of Lust colour to enable change of reflect sooner.

Do You Need to Bleach Hair Before Semi-Permanent Colour?

Yes, we recommend applying our semi-permanent colour to pre-lightened hair.

Do not lighten hair past desired depth and undertone as the hair will become extremely porous allowing Lust colour to fade faster.

How Long Should You Leave Semi-Permanent Hair Colour On?

Process your colour for a minimum of 30 minutes (without heat). The longer the colour is left, the more intense it will be.

Should You Wear Gloves When Applying Semi-Permanent Hair Colour?

Yes, you need to wear gloves when applying any Lust Colour. We also suggest using a colour bowl and applying it with a brush or comb to ensure even coverage.

How Do You Prevent Colour Staining When Applying?

Careful application is important to avoid staining porous bathroom surfaces. Also, use dark towels to avoid staining material.

Can You Mix Semi-Permanent Hair Colours?

Yes! All of our colours are intermixable and we encourage you to mix your colour and get creative. Use the Lust Soft Pastel to
create pastel tones.

How to Make Semi-Permanent Hair Colour Last Longer?

We recommend that you do not shampoo after applying Lust Colour for a minimum of 24 hours to avoid colour fading.

Using a dry shampoo and/or dry cleanser will help to lengthen out time between washes, prolonging colour fade.

What Shampoos Should You Use to Help Your Colour Last?

As mentioned above, incorporating a dry shampoo or dry cleanser into your routine will help to lengthen out time between washes, prolonging colour fade.

The entire range of Lust Haircare shampoo and conditioner are all colour safe so we suggest using one for your specific hair type to get the best of both.

When shampooing, you will notice the water will be coloured when rinsing due to semi-permanent colour slowly releasing from the hair.

How to Remove Semi-Permanent Hair Colour?

Semi-permanent colour fades naturally with each wash. To speed up removal, use a clarifying shampoo such as the Lust Deep Cleanser and avoid colour-protecting products. For full colour removal, a bleach cleanse performed by a professional hairdresser is recommended.
