Achieving salon results at home is not unachievable and does not have to be complicated.
With the right products and tools, you can look like you have just stepped out of a hair salon without even leaving the house.
STEP 1: Cleanse Your Canvas
Get the most out of your haircare routine by ensuring you start with a clean canvas. Use Lust Deep Cleanser for an extreme deep clean (especially if you use a lot of hair products or swim regularly etc.) or any of our other shampoos to gently yet effectively cleanse your scalp and hair.
After cleansing, gently towel dry your hair using a micro fibre towel and apply a generous amount of a Lust Colour Mask of your choice. Available in ten different shades and enriched with Argan oil and Cassia Seed, these luxurious colour treatments are designed to enhance vibrancy, refresh tone and add colour while also deep conditioning your hair. Leave the mask in for 2 – 10 minutes depending on your desired colour intensity (for intense colour apply the mask to clean, dry hair and leave on for 5 to 10 minutes). Use lukewarm water to rinse until the water runs clear.
If your hair is extremely dry or damaged you may choose to follow this with either the Lust Repair or Hydrate conditioner however this step is not necessary.
After towel drying, spritz your hair with our leave-in detangling spray and brush gently from the bottom up to remove any tangles. Infused with Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil and Soy Protein this spray will also help strengthen hair from within, preventing breakage and making hair stronger.
STEP 2: Prep and Protect Your Strands
Thermal protection is absolutely essential for hair. Without a protective barrier, temperatures from heat tools can literally "cook" the hair's delicate outer cuticle layer, causing it to lift and exposing the inner cortex. This leads to a rapid loss of vital moisture and keratin proteins, making the hair dry, brittle, and highly susceptible to breakage. Consequently, you'll observe increased frizz, dullness and split ends.
Lust Thermal Protection is formulated to minimise damage when using thermal styling tools, protecting hair up to 240°C. It contains Ginkgo Biloba Leaf extract, which reduces the impact of direct heat on the hair and Hydrolyzed Soy protein to strengthen, resulting in stronger and healthier hair.
STEP 3: Style Like a Pro
Sometimes it is the little steps that make a difference, so, before you reach for your blow dryer clip your hair into sections. This will not only speed up the process and make it easier but it will also ensure a more consistent and sleeker finish.

Pair it with one of our vent brushes to ensure faster blow drying and styling time by allowing warm air to directly circulate through each section of the hair. Working section by section, place the brush at the roots, ensuring consistent tension as you pull the hair taut and direct the dryer’s nozzle downwards, following the brush’s movement. The key is to apply heat evenly, from root to tip, smoothing the cuticle for maximum shine.
For an extra boost of volume and hold, blast each finished section with your dryer's cool shot before releasing it from the brush, allowing it to set.
STEP 4: The Finishing Touches
Use one or two pumps of our Luxury Argan Oil or Anti Frizz Serum and gently run through the mid-lengths and ends to add incredible shine and tame any flyway’s without sacrificing volume. Finish with the Lust Flexible or Finishing hairspray, misted evenly from a distance, to secure the style for lasting impact.
FINAL STEP: Step out of the house looking like you have just stepped out of a salon!
